These lights are awesome. Replaced 4qty. Metal Halide high bays.

I got some lights made almost exactly like this a few months back, and they have held up great.. Those were mounted at an angle to direct light at about a 45 degree angle instead of straight down.. This light is made just like those, so I see no reason why I would have any different of an experience with this one vs those ones that I got before..The light does get a bit warm, so you will definitely need ventilation around it.. I had it running for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, and the LED part was already getting pretty warm.. As long as their is plenty of ventilation, it will not get hot enough to burn.. I just wanted to tell you that it did get pretty warm in that area after just about 1 minute so you know, it does generate a bit of heat..It is advertised as 200 watts.. As you can see, mine only used 192 watts after running for a couple of minutes.. 8 watts is a little off, but nothing to complain about.. and definitely not enough to drop a star off of it either..Overall, it is working good.. I have no real complaints with it.. The only main flaw I found so far was it was just slightly under power, but not by much..

This is the cat's meow of UFO lighting. It has all the bells and whistles on it. Switchable from 150watt, 200 watt or the monster 240watt power up. Of course the higher the wattage the brighter the light gets. Ultra energy efficient design saves you big time on your electric bill. These UFO lights come close to negating Anne Roberts Jacques Turgot's law of diminishing returns. At a 240 watt input this light puts out 36,000lm at a temperature of 5000K. Very comfortable temperature for the human eye. Made of die cast aluminum, the frame easily dissipates heat very well. These UFO lights operate at a temperature far below that of a halogen light making them much safer to use in fire prone areas like a barn. You can hang them from a wire just about anywhere in 2 minutes. Plugs in to traditional 3 prong outlet using a 5 foot long cord that has been installed and waterproofed. Wired to be dimmable when put on a dimmer switch (not provided). IP65 rating gives them immunity to any weather on this planet. I highly recommend this product.

Wow... It is seriously bright in the garage thanks to this light. It was so bright, I had to get a comparison with my previous shop light configuration. In the picture the difference is amazing. The light meter is mounted at 5 ft above the floor and 5 ft from the lights attached to the truss bottoms. The existing lighting is provided by 12 shop lights 4ft 40w LED tube lights rated at 4400 lumens (each). The light reading for this configuration is 434lx or 18250 lumens. The existing lights were turned off and the 240W LED UFO High Bay Light was fired up by itself. The output was stunning with a reading of 5.51klx (5510lx) or 231050 lumens. The lumens are calculated because my light meter is only certified to lux.Bottom line, the light is very well constructed with appropriate safety devices to prevent a mount failure. The heat sink seems to work very well. This light is going to be moved to the 20 ft ceiling in the barn, the light output reading would be closer to the rated output per the manufacture. This will be a great addition to help light up a difficult area. As far as value, this light is worth it. This would be great in the garage with the optional dimmer. It is legitimately too bright for a 1600 square foot area with a 10 foot ceiling without the ability to dim it.Just a quick note: I use and often rely on reviews before purchasing products. This model is the 240/200/150W light, and WOW! I am blown away by the amount of light that is coming out of this beast. Even at 150W, the amount of light is more than sufficient for most tasks. In the photos, the light is hung at about 13' above the floor and the first photo is 240W, second at 200W and third at the 150W (the first photo shows darker shadows due to the phone camera struggling with the extreme contrast). The wattage is easily switched at the unit and if you don't want to climb a ladder to change it, as they mention, a dimmer can be installed when it is wired directly to your electrical system.. There's also an adjustment dial which you see in the manufacturer video to the left of the wattage switch, and nothing explains what that is for. I didn't need to touch it, however; the unit was plug and play.For me, working in an unfinished house with no interior electrical panel yet, this thing is a godsend. I am spending about 200 dollars a month on electricity right now, and a lot of that is in worklights. The LED worklight bulbs I have purchased promise brightness but don't deliver. Oh and did I mention that I just blew a 20A GFCI outlet by overloading it? That was yesterday. This unit is going to pay for itself within 6 months.

This light is incredibly bright! It does have three levels of brightness that are stored, even when the power is removed. They are helpful if you are not mounting this very high up in your environment. I have this mounted over a workbench that had no light, and it was important to see Clearly what was happening. This light allows a great pattern and no shadows to be cast when I am underneath it. I am very pleased with how easy it was to assemble and the length of the extension cord.It does come with a safety wire, but it's not clear how that should be mounted. I attached it using the screw from the body And I assume that is OK. It's hanging 2 feet over my workbench, so I'm not very concerned about it falling and I am not in a earthquake prone area.Thankfully it has not gotten hot or produced any noise so I would buy this again, especially if I needed something to be hung higher up such as a barn area.

If you want the most light ever, this is the light for your shop. I have tested other lights, but this one seems to be the top of the performance level. I took a picture of my dirty shop floor with the shadow from the light output around the car. I have one of my old 220W fluorescent lights directly above the opposite side of the car and it is way outperforming that unit with new bulbs! I cannot wait to get the old fixtures down and install all the new LEDs.The LED is set to 240W and appears quite nice with a white finish and aluminum heat sink. It is spaced about 5" away from the hook so the heat will not likely affect what it is hanging from. The hook that hangs the light is beefy and easily allows you to hang the light on a 1/2" conduit. It has a plug in for a standard 110V outlet with an appropriate length cord. There is also a 10V dimmable option for this light, but I plan to use it full brightness as I build transmissions and this will allow me to see in tight areas without a flashlight.The price is at the top for the excellent output and features it provides, but you will not be disappointed.

I installed this in my 20' by 40' shop to replace some fluorescent lamps. This lamp is much brighter and illuminates the area much better, but I think it would take three to illuminate the whole shop. Most of my shop I don't need bright light so this is used on the end where I do most of my work.It is made of metal that makes it feel very sturdy and it should dissipate heat very well with the large metal content. There are three brightness adjustments and mine is set on high. It's almost too bright so I'll consider lowering it to the next lower brightness. Mine is only mounted about 13' high and it's sometimes it shines in your eyes. I think this would work better with a higher ceiling, maybe 20' or more. It has connections for a dimmer but I'm not using that feature. There is a switch to select the three brightness settings.The photo shows the light mounted in my shop. I will hard-wire it later by mounting an outlet near the lamp. Since my shop has a wood frame, I just screwed in a washer wood screw with a fender washer and it hooked over that. Mounting it took all of five minutes, including getting the ladder up there.I'll update the review if anything happens, but so far I'm very pleased with this light.

This is a high-bay light consisting of several rings of COB LEDs, each underneath a small lens on the face of the light.The light is mounted using a round aluminum eyelet that screws into the top of the light, and is secured in place with a set screw. For security, there is a secondary steel cable mounted to the light that can be looped around a beam or fixture and clipped in place.Mounting the light was relatively simple. Testing it before mounting, I was somewhat disappointed with how bright the light appeared. However, once I mounted it in place, the amount of light it put out was quite astounding. Perhaps that has something to do with the lenses on the LEDs? The brightness is not really apparent until it's actually mounted in the roof and shining down. It puts a fairly wide splash of light downwards, very usable.The light is constructed of aluminum with integral heat sinks, and while it does get quite warm, it's not anywhere near as hot as an incandescent or vapor light.There are a second set of low voltage wires which can be used to control or dim the light. I left them unconnected. There is also a setting you can access to adjust the light level - I left it set at "HIGH".Who is this for?- Anyone who needs to light up a large warehouse or industrial room.Pros:- Easy to install- Puts out a ton of lightCons:- Security cable is overlong

I got this light to help light the workbench area of my garage, and boy did it work! (See the before and after pictures). These are high-bay lights, and my garage only has a 10' ceiling, but this thing really throws out a nice spread beam that gives me as much light as I could ever want on my workbench!The unit is very well built, and even though the emitter is a bit smaller in diameter than some other high bay lights I have, this one is brighter. And it is very well made. It is made for large industrial applications, so the mounting structure is rock solid (unlike the little carabiner attachments on the other high-bay lights I have). The unit has built in aluminum fins for heat dissipation, and they are just very well made!

Super bright - perfect for the workshop or garage! This "UFO" LED appears well constructed out of aluminum for the body. All LEDs work (and I'm still seeing spots from staring into it!!) It is bright. I do not have a lumen meter, but I would guess that it is very close to the advertised 36,000 lumens.If you have an advanced setup in your high-bay area, this light supports dimming via the separate 0-10v dimmer wiring connection.I'm using this in my garage over my woodworking area and WOW!, is this light bright. It makes a huge difference and is a big improvement over the existing 4-foot fluorescent lights.These need a 120-volt power source. In my garage, I am using the ceiling-mounted outlets (shared by the garage door openers) to power them. I am using smart plugs so that I can turn these off remotely via Alexa.

I do quite a bit of work in my garage on various projects. Vehicle maintenance, sanding, painting but it always seems like I could use just a bit more light. I've set up my work light on its stand in the past but this is a more permanent solution. It only took a few minutes to thread an eye bolt into a rafter and run the power cord to an existing ceiling outlet. I used a Smart Plug that works with Alexa to save having to wire in a switch. It now lights up my main workspace to where there's plenty of light for anything that I'm working on. It's super bright yet not harsh and stays very cool even when on for extended periods.

This UFO High Bay Light is very bright, giving off 36,000 lumens. It is completely sealed and pre-wired for a 120V AC outlet. This unit is also pre-wired for a 1-10V DC dimmer. The safety cable is not pre-attached to this light and will require a 4mm hex wrench to remove and then re-install a screw on the light. I recommend using the safety cable and the hook's lock screw because the hanging hook is not the best design (not closed enough).Overall, the light is very bright, uses one forth the current of an incandescent light and makes no noise at all. It can also withstand temperatures as low as -35C (-31F).
