Gee, thanks UFO light. Now I can see just how disorganized my basement is!OK, I joke, but really, my basement has never been better illuminated. THis UFO light has so many LEDs that it's brighter than when I used a high-temperature work lamp. It's so bright that I'm considering using some kind of light deflector or diffuser to spread the light around more. The only reason I would need that is because the light is designed to be hung on a high ceiling, and my basement has a very low ceiling, so it's not the light's fault.If you DID have a high ceiling, this is going to blast light in a wide cone. See my photo. Usually that corner of my basement is in complete darkness, despite me having several other LED lights installed. This light is just several magnitudes brighter.There's a convenient hook on the top of the light, which I have hooked on a spike. There's also a safety cable to secure the light in case it happens to slip off its hook.If you don't want to see the mess in your basement or other room, steer clear. But if you DO want to see better, like I do, this is the light for you.

The light is very bright at 5900 lumens at one foot, and still at 2500 lumens at 6.5 feet. I confirmed the UL certification number. Labelled as suitable in wet locations, so you should be able to use this outdoors, however, it operates at a relatively high temperature, 180 degrees in an indoor 70 degree ambient air temperature. Anything touching this could catch on fire, make sure there is clearance around it, and birds cannot nest on it if outdoors. AS the description says for, 'high bay', (high ceiling), use, similar to warehouse lighting heights etc, which have clearance and usually metal walls, ceiling, hanging places. Otherwise, this is a handy light to have, easy to temporarily hang and use with an extension cord, just keep it away from combustibles.

These UFO LED high bay lights are literally the best thing ever when you need a lot of lighting to work on a project. They can easily be plugged into an outlet and they can be hung from a ceiling or shelf with the included attachments.This is the second one of this sort of light that we own and we use they very often. The amount of light these put off are absolutely amazing.One thing to note about this light is that price wise it was more affordable but still puts off a really good amount of light.These are absolutely perfect for inside a garage, construction area, basement or shed to use to illuminate the area when working.Recommended.

Super bright, instant on, and feels high quality! The light is very easy to set up and really lights up the space. Color temp is not adjustable - not a problem but good to know. Also, make sure you remove the safety chain screw before trying to screw in the hook. Put that safety screw back though!

JC-LGL's 150 watt LED bay light is straightaway going to be used to light up our studio's green screen. The flicker free feature & the fact that it casts such a wide spectrum of even light over a short distance are some of reasons why I selected JC-LGL's UFO light to illuminate my 10 foot screen. It's light, portable & versatile. When I'm not lighting the green screen, I can additionally put it to work in our dimly lit living room set, where I can easily turn it on & off with the powered wall switch. This is my 2nd such UFO light because I enjoy that bright overhead daylight coming from JC-LGL's 150 watt LEDs.

The 150W LED high bay light is an efficient bright light for my garage. It is nice to have a bright light when working on projects. The 16,500 lumens and color temperature of 5000K are similar to natural daylight. The light is lightweight and sturdy. Installation was easy with the plugin cord, hanging hook, and safety rope. An extension cord may be needed since the light cord is only six feet long. The light is well-built, impact-resistant, and waterproof.

This really brightens up the workshop off of my garage. It's not a big workshop but the new style LED lights that have the adjustable ��wings�� that screw into the light socket just don't do it. They are bright but not like this.I got one of those adapters for the light bulb socket that allow you to plug in a cord. That is how I control this with my normal wall switch.This is a nice quality fixture. The heat sink on the back is well made and artfully designed. I also really like the safety cable. It is probably a code requirement somewhere. The lens seems durable. Only time will tell if it yellows, but not it is crystal clear. When turning it on, it lights up immediately. There is no warm up phase.The hardest part was finding a ceiling joist to screw a hook into to hang this fixture. Overall, it was a simple project. I would not hesitate to recommend this light fixture.

This draws 100 Watts and yet the output is like that of the Sun, a very super bright 5000k 11000 Lumens.Made for placing in high ceilings such as warehouse bays, tall barns, or large spaces like that because of the light intensity.This is constructed of die cast aluminum and is very light in weight. The quality speaks to being sturdy, well built, sleek, compact and efficient.Comes with a 6 foot electrical cord with a 3 prong plug, has a hanging hook on the backside, a safety cable with a small carabiner attached, plus installation instructions.Very simple and easy to use, 5 stars!

This fixture pumps out a LOT of light. It would be enough for a single car garage, provided you can hang it high enough. This fixture could hang 12' above the floor and still give off enough light.If buying these fixtures to illuminate a commercial work place such as a workshop, repair facility, auto shop, etc., based off my testing I would recommend ideal installation would be 9-12' above the floor, and 1 unit for each 100-150 sq.ft. (10'x10' to 12'x12' square of floor space), with special attention on positioning to avoid shadows beside walls and around obstacles.Uses a standard plug, so it's easy for anybody to hook up without too much electrical work, depending on your application. The mounting hook is real beefy and should work with all commercially availably lighting hanging chains and systems. In a commercial application, spec a basic outlet at each light drop.Unit is now being used to provide more than adequate light in a 8' x 16' storage shed.

This is one of the flattest designs I have reviewed yet and one of the best for lighting spaces less than 10 feet high.Pros:- Seems to cast a wider beam of light requiring less height, is this because of the flatter design than many other similar lights, perhaps- Very good heat dissipation, runs 5 to 10 degrees cooler than similar lights I have tested- Very sturdy hook for hanging with additional safety cable- Well balanced with a good weight so it's not easily blown around- UL CertifiedCons- The wire exits through the hook making it a bit difficult to install or remove the hook (Minor as you aren't going to be threading the hook in and out a lot) The location of the wire being dead center does seem to help with the balance of the lightAll of the lights I have tested I first test in my utility room with 8 foot ceilings then in my shop with 13 foot cleanings, this is one of only 2 that has been able to cast light on the top of the water tank and no surprise better coverage in my 13foot high shop.This light also draws close to the advertised 100W, According to my meter it pulls 94 to 97 watts.In summary this is a solid light and one that has found a permanent home in my shop, if this was installed in an area that seen a lot of air movement I think the threading on the hook is standard pipe thread so one could cut the plug off the wire, thread in a piece of pipe and permanently affix it to an electrical box hard wired in.

I was looking to replace the workbench light in my garage and I thought I would give this light a try. I'm glad I did, this thing is bright, I mean surface of the sun* bright! It is made from quality materials with most of the body being made from metal, including the hook. It has no switch, as it is designed to be plugged directly into an outlet controlled by a switch. However, I plugged it into a heavy duty power bar that I use to control it which works perfectly. I did have to use an extension cord to span the distance as the cord is on the shorter side. The manufacturer does caution that extension cords used should meet a certain rating, basically, you don't want to plug this into a light duty cord. I may have mentioned how pleased I am with the brightness of the light, the picture really doesn't do it justice! No more hiding for those small, easily lost parts on the workbench during projects! I'll update my review as I get more use out of it, should I encounter anything that warrants it.*light may not actually be exactly as bright as the surface of the sun.

I used this UFO LED Bay light fixture to upgrade the lighting over my workbench. This light is incredibly bright, outshining the two 4-foot fluorescent fixtures it replaced, and it does so while consuming less electricity. The installation process was straightforward, thanks to the easily converted existing ceiling hex box. For this I used a standard 2-plug 15Amp plug with an adapter plate designed to cover the hex box and hold the plug.The light's design includes a primary hook and a safety cable, which is reassuring given its weight. I'd recommend using the safety cable, especially if the light is suspended above areas where people work or pass by frequently.In terms of power consumption, my watt meter shows it draws just under 110W, slightly above the advertised 100W. However, the quality of light is impressive��it mimics true daylight without any noticeable yellow or blue tints. The UL rating is a welcome feature that adds an extra layer of trust in the product's safety standards.Heat dissipation is something to keep in mind with this fixture. The entire back serves as a heat sink, which gets quite warm (including the primary hook) during operation. To ensure safety and proper heat management, I've mounted it on a non-combustible hook with an 9-inch clearance from the ceiling.My only reservation is regarding the fixture's longevity. Unlike fluorescent lights where you can simply replace a bulb, this LED unit would require a complete replacement if it fails or starts flickering. I'll update this review if any of these issues occur.

I ordered this to use as a temporary light source in my steel building until I can wire the shop properly. I hung it from a chain, and powered it with an old extension cord. It puts out a ton of light for its size. It would also make a good work light for remodelers, and other tradesman doing work on incomplete structures.The hook on the light has a set screw so that when you slip a chain over it, the chain will not come off if it is bumped. It also has a safety cable with a carabiner on it. I don't feel the need for it in my application, but it could be useful when the light is used on jobsites with men and materials moving around.

This UFO LED light has a very solid design with excellent heat dissipation. The light does get fairly warm when left on for hours, but the heavy-duty aluminium backing with a good heat sink design allows for a quick release of the heat. The 150 watts that this light produces illuminated my garage from end to end very well. (Though my nearly 10' ceilings do not allow me to experience this light's full potential.) When I flick the switch, the light turns on immediately, and there is absolutely no flickering at all. The electrical cord is also of excellent quality, with a good 6 feet of length. The ring hook included screws firmly into the base at a good depth, which should hold up to even extreme conditions, and there is also a solid 1-foot safety cable that attaches to the base in case of any failures.This is a great choice at a fair price for a solid UFO LED light that is UL listed, provides excellent lighting, and has really good heat dissipation.
