This light feels high quality with a sturdy aluminum housing. The fit and finish are clean and solid. Installation was easy and the design makes it simple to mount in different ways. It can sit flush or connect to other lights through the threaded holes.The threads are built right into the housing and that's the best feature of this unit. The brightness is strong and clear with no flicker. Functionality is great and everything works like it should. For the price, the value for money is good.

The mounting method is slick, with enough options to accommodate any type of installation. Secure the bracket, slide the fixture onto it, attach two screws, and that's it! It's described as commercial, but I think industrial is fitting too. That old adage, 'They don't make 'em like they used to' doesn't apply here.It's built like a tank, with a solid body that dissipates heat well. I'm on solar so there's no stress over this 40 watt load remaining on all night. The lens does a good job of diffusing the light, and the light itself is decent, though the temperature is a tad warmer than I prefer inside a garage or shop but it's perfect for canopies and carports. It's not the brightest but it is priced right for the quality and lumens. You need only look at the images from reviewers who've actually installed this to understand. If you have a 3-car garage, you're gonna want the 4-pack.The housing is the standout feature, and if the light portion ever fails, there are LED disk kits available to keep this in service for many years. It's a good value with this quality build and performance.

I am reviewing a single 40W 5600LM LED Canopy Light. Just a little background here - my husband and I are not electricians. We are YouTube DIYers! With watching a few videos and getting a little bit of verbal instruction over the phone from a more knowledgeable older relative who has more experience, my husband was able to take this light and install it inside our 10'x16' shed. We did not know how it would turn out, but we were extremely satisfied! It is NOT too bright for an indoor space but is very bright! This light has transformed our shed from the dim lighting to a very bright space that we can now SEE when we drop a screw (HAHA)!! It is great quality and is NOT cheap material. It really was a fairly easy installation from a DIYer standpoint! Highly Recommend!

Packaged very well. I've installed dozens of ceiling lights and none of them are fun nor easy. This one wasn't fun, but I will have to say they designed it to make it fairly easy. Anyone who is a little bit handy could do it and an electrician would get it done in minutes. The ceiling light is bright white approximating, a little bluer than the sun, and fully illuminates the garage. I took a picture of my car in the closed garage and you can see how bright the white car is lit up. This is a five star ceiling light that put a smile on my face.

I like these canopy fixtures in my big shed for when I make quick trips inside to grab something. This particular fixture is simple, and does what it's supposed to. General appearance is good. The diffuser lens is plastic with a pretty detailed surface. The housing is a metal alloy to dissipate heat. A steel mounting plate is attached to the back with slide lock tabs and a single screw to secure it. The fixture comes with power leads out the back for mounting to a face down j box. I wanted to add a cord and plug from the side to plug it into a switched receptacle I had installed. Remove the lens and reflector, and you can access the wiring. Pull those leads to the interior and knock out the side hub for your fitting. The threaded side hubs are sealed with a thin barrier of housing material that needs to be removed with a screwdriver and hammer. Wiring is standard colors (black=hot/white=neutral/green=ground). In my case I screwed the mounting plate to the bottom of a truss. The plate is fairly thin so you have to pay close attention when sliding the fixture onto that plate to ensure all the tabs engaged. Install the set screw from plate to housing, and it's ready to go. The light is adequate for a 40W LED fixture. The diffuser does a good job of broadcasting the light in a soft manner without a lot of side glare. It illuminates quickly when energized. The 5000K color temp perfectly matches other light fixtures I have installed. It's a welcome addition over the stairs in my shed.

I used this light in a crawl space under my front porch. The installation was quite straight forward for me. Even someone with no wiring or electrical experience could follow directions easily enough to get the job done! It needed to be pretty bright to serve the purpose I wanted and it does the job perfectly!! It lights the whole space enough even the kids will be ok going on there to get stuff now!! Definite buy for me!

The light is solidly built but the LED driver used causes strobing. You can't see it well with the naked eye but a slow motion video capture will highlight the issue. I will still use it in the carport because I won't be out there long periods of time that might cause eye strain.I added a 100k potentiometer between the pink and purple wires to allow for manual dimming. The method was condoned by the LED driver manufacturer but the manufacturer of this fixture recommended a 0-10V dimmer they offer. I didn't want to run new wires to a fancy wall dimmer so I just drilled a hole in the light's casting for the 100k pot.Light color appears to be right at or below the stated 5000K color. It is not too blue (cold) or too yellow (warm).Not a bad light but not indoor work area quality either.Update: Holy moly this thing is bright! I am glad I added a dimmer. See new pictures of carport install.

This light used to replace old fashioned fluorescent light fixture in a home garage. I was concerned about the spread of the light but was very pleased with the coverage it gave. It is an extremely bright light, far more than what the previous fixture put out, and in a compact size. I have not yet installed a dimmer but I plan to because for my purposes it is simply too much for a regular garage light. I do like the fact that when I need to work on the car, I will have the option to crank up the output. All this and thanks to the LED technology consumes only 60W.

The light fixture overall appears to be well built with gaskets to prevent bugs from getting in.The instructions indicate that it can use a 0-10 volt signal for dimming (purple and pink wire) however that wiring wasn't routed with the power wires coming out of the fixture. If you are not planning on having a dimmer switch, then its not an issue as it would always just be full brightness. If you do want dimming you will have to unscrew the 4 lens screws, and the 2 metal pan screws to access the ballast and connect to that wiring.Installation of the fixture is pretty easy, the mounting bracket has holes allowing for mounting the plate to a quad box. The mounting plate has a 'hinge' to allow the fixture to swing down for making the wiring a little easier. The light swings up to the mounting plate and slides in place, secured by a screw. There is also a spot at the top (and sides) of the fixture for installing on threaded conduit if you didn't want to use the plate to mount to a junction box (and then you can use safety cable to connect the mounting plate to make sure it cant fall).Adding this one light fixture to my garage added a ton of general light! The base is all metal and is the heat sink, but does not get overly hot.So far I am really happy with this fixture for use in a garage area, and am planning to add a few more around my garage. I will revise this review should anything happen, but as long as it continues to work I will be very happy.
